Breakfast, Live Music, Après-ski

Sarah's Lounge

Start your morning the right way with daily breakfast from 7:30–10:30 a.m. in Sarah’s Lounge, our on-site Vail restaurant — where we serve continental breakfast that’s the perfect fuel before heading out for first tracks. Don’t forget to grab complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby to keep the momentum going.

Then come back later for the kind of après-ski you can’t find anywhere else. Sarah’s Lounge is Vail’s last true iconic après spot — a Bavarian-styled favorite serving German beers, Aperol Spritzes, and all the good vibes. Join us Thursday–Sunday from 3:00–7:00 p.m. for the full après experience.

And on Fridays? That’s when the magic really happens. Helmut Fricker, Vail’s legendary accordion-and-alpenhorn showman, takes over the room every Friday from 4:30–6:30 p.m., turning après into pure joy with his unforgettable live performances.

The best kept secret spot in Vail village! It’s a unique, family run, boutique hotel. The rooms are soulful, with quality furnishing and finishes. The wood paneled ceilings are a nice touch. Our room was facing the river and we left the screen door open all night and listened to the river.

We have been staying at the Christiania for our annual roommate reunion ski trip for over 15 years. Its historic charm and alpine ambiance are exceptional, and it's location snug against the mountain makes it one of a handful of truly "ski in-ski out" hotels in Vail.

Charming boutique lodge in the heart of town!!
The hotel is located right in the heart of town and you can walk to everything in the village. There is a classic, old ski-lodge charm to the place that feels really charming. The staff is super friendly - it doesn't feel like a typical hotel, but rather a smaller European Boutique lodge. Will definitely go back!

Best hotel in Vail Village!!!
My wife and I had the most amazing three day weekend at the Christiania. The lodge is perfectly located in the heart of the Vail village and so close to all the best restaurants/bars/activities. We loved walking out the back door and being right at the base of the mountain for hiking. The staff was phenomenal. 100% will go back. We loved every minute of our stay

Cozy & Friendly Stay.
Very cozy European styled lodge. Don't expect an updated style, but we liked that it has not been remodeled to look like so many other places. And the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating during our entire stay. One of the best parts is that it is literally steps away from the entrance to Vail Village and a very short walk to Gondola 1.
