Skiing Vail

With 31 chairlifts, 2 Gondolas, 195 trails, and over 5,300 acres of terrain located out our back door, the options for Skiing and Snowboarding can seem endless. With beginner, intermediate, and advanced run options, there is something for all levels of riding on the mountain.

Vail Mountain can be accessed from Gondola One in Vail Village - located directly behind our Christiania Lodge. In fact, during the winter, the lodge is ski-in/out to Vail Mountain.

Vail averages more than 300 days of sunshine, 370+ inches of snow each year, and has amazing views of the surrounding Gore and Sawatch mountain ranges, making it one of the top ski destinations in the entire world. Don't miss our staff's favorite run - Riva Ridge. A 4-mile long skiers dream that will lead you from the top of the mountain all the way down to Vail Village.
