At our Vail, Colorado summer and fall resort, the experience extends far beyond the mountain. Vail Village is filled with boutique shops along with world-class restaurants, bars, and endless village activities. When you visit in the summer and autumn, Vail becomes a true mountain playground. Take a family stroll through the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, get into nature with a hike on Vail Mountain, experience summer tubing or zip-lining at Adventure Ridge, or just enjoy the peaceful rivers while fly fishing. More attractions including horseback riding, rafting and golf allow you to enjoy Vail in the summer and fall.
Epic Discovery: Located at the top of Vail Mountain and Lionshead Gondola at Eagle’s Nest, Adventure Ridge is the ultimate high-elevation playground. Offering fun-filled activities for all ages, including coaster, zip line, truck tours, bungee trampoline, and more.
Gondola One: The Vail Village Gondola is located directly behind the Christiania Lodge in the heart of Vail Village. In the summer, the Gondola is available for scenic rides and bikes hauls with dining at Mid-Vail and countless mountain-top hiking and biking trails.
Pickleball: Golden Peak Pickleball Center in Vail is one of the finest pickleball facilities on Colorado's western slope. It is conveniently located next to Christiania between Vail Village, the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, and Ford Park. The six dedicated pickleball courts at Golden Peak have the RSS Reflex 500 polyurethane cushioned court surface, a high-performance surface that is easier on the body than conventional outdoor court surfaces. Golf: The Vail Valley is renowned for its 13 unique and intriguing mountain courses. Our concierge will be more than happy to arrange a tee time for you at one of the many Vail Valley courses.
Whitewater Rafting: Whether rafting on the famous Arkansas, the nearby Eagle or the popular Shoshone stretch of the Colorado River, you'll experience a rush of adrenaline, a splash or two of clean Rocky Mountain river water, and witness the breathtaking majesty of the Colorado Rocky Mountains from a totally different perspective. Fishing: The Vail Valley is packed with exceptional locations for fly fishing. Our seasoned local outfitters can put you on the water where all the action is, with everything you need to land that trophy high country trout. Biking: Mountain biking has become one of Vail's most popular summer outdoor activities. In the Village, there are a variety of Vail bike rental locations. Take a leisurely ride along the Eagle River on the bike path. Also, ride Gondola One or Lionshead Gondola up the hill with your bike. Enjoy a scenic ride down one of the many trails, from groomed beginner to technical single track.

Tennis: The Vail Tennis Center offers a slice of heaven: eight Har-Tru clay courts and four hard courts with the Gore Range as a stunning backdrop. Open dawn to dusk Memorial Day weekend through September 30, the Tennis Center includes a full-service pro shop that rents rackets and courts, offers private lessons and provides clinics for all ages.
